My tip today is.....morning routine
These little changes to your morning routine could help make your whole day better. Maximise your morning routine with these simple steps.
Within 30 minutes of waking
| Drink water
Drinking water first thing when you wake up will help you rehydrate and also gets the digestive system working. A body that is well hydrated functions better both physically and mentally. If you don't like
water, try drinking a herbal tea or warm water with lemon to further support digestion.
Within an hour of waking | Get out in sunlight
When sunlight hits the back of your eye it helps regulate your circadian rhythm, the bodies internal clock that manages states of alertness and sleepiness. Getting out in sunlight as early in the day as possible helps you wake up and feel more alert.
Within 2 hours of waking | Eat breakfast
It is often considered the most important meal of the day, yet many of us skip breakfast. However, your body has just gone through a fasting period during sleep and needs that fuel to produce energy for the day.
If you struggle to eat first thing in a morning, don't worry, the recommendation is to eat within two hours of getting up.
Don't forget your daily supplements! Build your daily
supplements into your morning routine which will ensure you start the day with everything your body needs.
