Tip of the day....tips to get in shape for your holiday.
1. Don’t
leave it until the last minute and then decide to go on a diet and do lots of exercising. Introduce small steps.
2. Try and avoid drinks with sugar in it or caffeine, swap for herbal teas or water. This will reduce your calorie intake.
3. Increase your protein. Eat more veg/salads and cut out
refined carbs eg bread, pasta etc. Try brown rice or sweet potato.
4. Try using weights. These will change the shape of your body.
5. Try walking. Get your steps in.
6. Water – try
to aim for 2 to 3 litres per day.
7. Try healthy snacks eg nuts, olives, Greek yogurt, veg dipped in hummus.
8. Avoid skipping meals. It can lead to overeating and bingeing at your next meal. Your body will store fat not burn it.
9. If you fall off the saddle, get back on. Don’t give up, draw a line under it and move on. You are only human.
10. Learn to love your body. If you beat yourself up the more it can lead to making bad food choices.
