Good evening,
I hope you have had a good weekend. Are you ready for Christmas or are you doing some last minute bits?
Tomorrow evening is our last class. Yoga will go ahead at the earlier time of 6 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend the class. Classes will resume on Thursday 2nd January 2025.
Xmas lunch - Thank you to everyone who came to the lunch. It was lovely and so nice to have a good turn out.
The shortest day - Saturday 21st December - Understanding the shortest day of the
year.
The shortest day of the year is called the Winter Solstice. It happens once a year and marks the day with the least amount of daylight and the longest night.
What Does It Mean?
While the Winter Solstice marks the shortest day, it also signals a turning point. After this day, the amount of daylight gradually increases as we move toward spring. This has made the solstice an important event in many cultures, symbolising hope, renewal, and the
promise of brighter days ahead.
How Is It Celebrated?
People across the world have observed the Winter Solstice for thousands of years.
- Stonehenge Gatherings: In England, people visit Stonehenge to watch the sunrise and sunset align with the ancient stones.
What Can You Do?
It’s a great time to pause, reflect on the
year, and set intentions for the brighter days to come. This special day reminds us that even in the darkest moments, light is on the way! 🥰
Thank you so much for reading my newsletters, attending classes face to face, online or both, I really appreciate
it.
Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year and see you in 2025.
Take care love Paula xx🏃 ❤️🧘🏻
