Good morning,
Tip of the day.....Coping with the dark nights and colder days
As the evenings draw in and the temperatures drop, it’s completely natural to feel a bit less motivated. But winter doesn’t have to be gloomy — it can be a wonderful time to slow down, refocus, and look after yourself.
Here are a few gentle reminders to help you feel good through the darker
months:
🌤 Keep moving
It’s easy to stay tucked up indoors, but a little movement each day makes all the difference. Whether it’s our fitness sessions, a gentle walk, or some stretches at home, keeping active helps boost your energy and mood.
🌞 Get a dose of daylight
Try to step outside when you can — even a quick walk during the day helps top up your vitamin D and improves sleep and wellbeing.
☕ Embrace the cosy evenings
Make your evenings special: light a candle, read a good book, or enjoy a hot drink after class. Creating a cosy atmosphere helps you unwind and recharge.
🤗 Stay connected
It’s tempting to hibernate, but being around others lifts
the spirits. Come along to classes, join in a chat, or check in with a friend — it all counts.
🥣 Nourish your body
Seasonal soups, stews, and plenty of colourful veg keep you feeling strong and healthy.
💭 Keep a positive mindset
Notice the small pleasures — a crisp morning walk, a friendly smile, or the glow of fairy lights. Focusing on what’s good helps you feel brighter inside and out.
Let’s make this winter a season of warmth, movement, and
connection.
See you in class — and remember, your body (and mind!) will thank you for keeping active.
