Good morning,Ā
Ā
Tip of the day.....Staying in a routine as Christmas approaches
Ā
Hello everyone,
Ā
I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year and managed to enjoy some rest, good food and time with family or friends.
If getting back into a routine feels harder than expected, youāre not alone. After a change in schedule
(and a few indulgences!), itās completely normal to feel a bit sluggish or out of sync. The good news? You donāt need to do everything at once to get back on track.
Here are a few gentle ways to ease yourself back into routine:
Start small
Thereās no need to jump straight back into your full schedule. One small
habit ā a short walk, gentle stretch or class ā is enough to get things moving again.
Ease in, donāt punish
Your body doesnāt need drastic changes. Focus on nourishing meals, drinking more water and gentle movement rather than trying to āmake upā for Christmas.
Put movement in the
diary
Motivation often comes after action. Treat your classes, walks or workouts like appointments and show up ā even if energy feels low at first.
Expect it to feel a bit hard
The first week back can feel tougher than usual. Thatās normal and it passes quickly once routine returns.
Notice how good it feels
Instead of thinking āI should exercise,ā try noticing how movement helps your mood, energy and sleep.
Ā
Most importantly, be kind to yourself. Christmas is part of life ā getting back into routine is simply about gently returning, not being perfect.
Iām
really looking forward to welcoming you back to class and helping you ease into the new year feeling stronger, more mobile and energised.
