Good morning,
Tip of the day.....Motivation & consistency
Have you ever started a fitness routine feeling determined, only to find your motivation fading after a few weeks? Trust me, you're not alone - consistency is something most of us struggle with at some point!
The truth is, staying
consistent isn't about having endless willpower - it's about setting up small, practical routines that fit real life (busy days, off days and everything in between). Here are my favourite ways to keep showing up for yourself, even when life gets hectic:
- Book your sessions like appointments. Put your classes or workouts in your calendar – treat them as important
meetings with yourself. Need to book your next class? You can do just that via my booking app Gymcatch any time - it keeps you accountable!
- Set achievable goals. Big changes come from lots of little wins. Focus on taking part in one class, going for a brisk walk, or prepping one healthy meal, rather than aiming for perfection every day.
- Keep moving, even if it's not perfect. We all have tired or busy days. A short stretch, some Pilates, or even a ten-minute dance around the kitchen is always better than skipping movement entirely. Progress, not perfection.
- Find your favourite way to move. The best exercise is the one that feels good to you. Whether it's Yoga, Dance Fitness, Keep Fit or
Pilates, choose what puts a smile on your face (and leave the guilt behind).
- Connect with others! Sharing your journey, even through a quick chat in class really does help keep motivation up. You're never doing this alone.
And remember, every step counts.
Consistency isn't about never slipping up – it's about resetting gently and getting back to what feels good for you. Be kind to yourself and celebrate the small wins; they add up to amazing results over time.
