Good afternoon,
How are you all? I hope you are well. Not the usual newsletter today.
Following on from the announcement yesterday I want to let you know what my plans are for Keep Fit with Paula's community classes.
I have not heard from the venues where I teach so until I do I remain teaching online and adding outdoor classes to my timetable. I will keep you all informed and let you know as and when I hear anything.
I have however, read the Government Guidelines regarding gyms, pools and leisure centre's opening on the 25/7 which is fantastic news but with a lot of restrictions and guidelines being implemented.
As you know I am a sole fitness instructor teaching at various venues in Hazel Grove and this is how I see it affecting my classes and clients.
1. Social distancing - this is going to be extremely challenging as I need to make sure there is the correct amount of space per client standing/lying down. As you know some of my classes involve movement ie Zumba so I need to think about this. It will also affect how many people I have in my class, again how do I choose who attends my sessions?
2. Cleaning rooms - my understanding is rooms will have to be cleaned after each session so I need to find out how this will work with my classes I run back to back. Again the same with the toilets they will have to be monitored.
3. Music - I am not allowed to play loud music and I cannot project my voice as I could potentially be spreading germs.
The above are only some of the things that I have picked up on so as it stands there are going to be lots of challenges ahead of me. I will still have overheads to pay ie room rent when I do return and need to make sure this is financially viable and my main priority is keeping my clients and myself safe.
Re my online classes I have noticed people who have joined me are doing more than one class a week as they said they have more time and trying classes they would not have normally attended. Their feedback is they are feeling fitter and liking the fact they can do it live as per my timetable or catch up on a recorded session when it suits them and they don't have to leave the house. The negative is we do miss the interaction
with each other. If you haven't tried a class and don't forget your first class is free I would love to know why to see if I can help at all or come up with another solution.
I would like to thank you all for being part of Keep Fit with Paula and without you all I wouldn't be teaching.
Please feel free to message me with any questions and I will be in touch when I know more.
Have a good weekend, stay safe and take care.😀
