Good evening,
We have been hit with the news that we are going back into a lockdown on Thursday for a month. Like me, I am sure you are going through a whole range of emotions and as much as I know it is the right thing to do it is affecting so many businesses, people’s lives, mental health and wellbeing. I didn’t sleep last night worrying about what to do next but today was a new day and this is what I am proposing for the next month. I am so pleased I combined my online classes with face to face and from
Thursday I will be teaching online until Wednesday 2nd December.
The timetable is attached. There will be no Yoga or Zumba until we return face to face. I have tried to keep the timetable the same but there is a slight change to Thursday. Rather than 2 classes in the morning I have removed one and added an evening class
instead.
For those who are on Silver membership you are able to continue with classes online as this is part of your package. If you would like to join online whilst we are in lockdown please let me know. The price is £36. Card passes will be extended until 31 January
2021.
I have contacted you all individually to sort out memberships, standing orders etc but if you have not received my message please contact me on 07986 290088.
Re Wednesday Yoga I need to speak to Norbury Church tomorrow to see if it can still go ahead and I will let you know the outcome.
I have contacted the Council to see if I can change my Thursday morning classes to the Wednesday morning so people are getting their full week of classes. I will be in touch when I know more.
I have also received an email from my insurance company as outlined below .This was sent to me before the news of the lockdown:-
We are calling on all instructors to follow the rules. We understand that local Environmental Health and Trading Standards officers are making spot checks to ensure classes are COVID-19 compliant. You must follow the rules. Instructors not following the rules risk shutting the sector down for everyone.
Local authorities are particularly concerned about participants clustering before and after classes. Please ensure:
Participants are not clustering before or after your class and are maintaining at least 2m social distancing as they arrive and depart from your class.
Participants and instructors wear masks / appropriate face coverings when arriving and leaving their classes. This is already in the Government guidance for community venues and is a policy of many leisure centres and gyms. Masks can be removed when participants are in their individual marked out studio area.
Failure to adhere to the above could jeopardise the future of group exercise classes continuing through the pandemic.
Let's keep smiling.
Have a good week, see you in class and take care Paula xx
