Feeling tired.
Do you ever feel tired but don't know why?
It might be down to hormonal changes or peri/menopausal.
Some days I lack energy or just tired, other days I feel full of energy.
Do you listen to your body? I do now but it took me a long time to start doing this. If I feel tired and I am going to teach I lower my intensity and give instructions to my clients
who want to work harder. Even if I am tired I do always feel so much better after I have exercised whether it is a class or a walk.
I always ask people about their lifestyle/nutrition etc and below are some points why you may feel tired.
Sleep - lack of sleep will not only make you constantly tired but can be a
roller coaster to make daily poor choices due to the hormone disruption that lack of sleep causes eg increased hunger, cravings (hence poor food choices) too tired to exercise, reaching for that caffeine fix to get you through the day, alcohol which can all lead to blood sugar issues and more hormonal disruption.
Poor diet - eating junk food, too much sugar, under eating, faddy diets, not getting enough nutrients.
Over exercising/training - More is NOT better when it comes to exercise! You wouldn’t run a race horse into the ground then expect it to win a race the next day! Would You? Your body needs rest and recovery to function at it’s optimal best not only physically but mentally!!
